The ministry of Gregory Lanre Ijiwola, or    Pastor Lan, as he is fondly called by many, began at an early age, when as a teenager he heard the voice of God that he was called to devote his life to the ministry. In response to this call he consecrated himself and that began a journey of destiny. Ever since then, from high school through college and subsequently, he has served in different capacities in several ministries fulfilling such roles as college pastor, associate pastor and lead pastor.

Nigerian-born, now resident in Chicago, in response to God’s leading to pioneer a church that would nurture people to be Christ lights in their communities, he and his wife, Debo, who serves alongside with him are the Founding Pastors of the CityLight International Assembly.

The church began with a team of 7 people and has since grown to be serving hundreds of people in the Kenwood area of Chicago through various ministry initiatives transcending the church walls and reaching into the social contexts of the community.

 Gregory has an undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering, a graduate degree in Urban Studies from Moody Theological Seminary, and is presently a doctoral candidate in Organizational Leadership at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Gregory speaks in diverse settings both internationally and nationally and also writes prolifically in various genres including the free daily Beginning with God Devotionals. Gregory is also the author of the books, Just Before You Say I do: A Roadmap for Singles, Irresistible Influence: You Can Also Make a Difference, and Mission Possible: Finding and Fulfilling your Life’s Assignment.

A passionate believer in printed works, Gregory also heads Summit House Publishers, a Christian publishing outfit.

Gregory and Debo are blessed with three children, Jesse, Joshua and Pearl.
